Tips for Parents to Help Toddlers to Overcome Fussy Eating Habits

It can be challenging to feed toddlers (ages 1 to 3), as they are going through several developmental changes at this time. Toddlers are striving for independence and control, and their growth rate slows down, which can decrease their appetite. Parents need to provide structure and set limits for the toddler to help them through these changes. With the right mix of nutrients, healthy eating habits for toddlers can give them the nourishment they need. The ideal plate includes foods like whole grains, fruits and veggies, milk and dairy, beans and legumes, eggs, fish, nuts/oils, and lean meats. This way, they’ll get the right amounts of nutrients while staying hydrated and getting enough fiber.
